Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, who were together for 11 years, have officially decided to end their marriage. This news came after Portman quietly filed for divorce from Millepied back in July in France, where they lived with their two children. The divorce process was finalized last month. Their representatives have not yet provided any comments on the situation.

Portman and Millepied’s relationship began on the set of “Black Swan,” the movie that earned Portman her Best Actress Oscar in 2010. They got married in California in August 2012 and have two children together: a 12-year-old son named Aleph and a 7-year-old daughter named Amalia. The end of their relationship is saddening, especially considering how intertwined their personal and professional lives seemed to be.

Natalie Portman is currently starring in Todd Haynes’ film “May December” alongside Julianne Moore and Charles Melton, which has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the upcoming Oscars. Portman’s role as Elizabeth Berry, an actress researching a controversial woman (played by Moore) for a film, earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy, or Musical.

In her upcoming projects, Portman will star in Guy Ritchie’s heist film “Fountain of Youth” alongside John Krasinski, and she is also producing and starring in the Apple TV+ limited series “Lady in the Lake.”

Meanwhile, Benjamin Millepied recently showcased his choreography skills in Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster “Dune: Part Two,” where he crafted the desert sandwalk scene featuring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya’s characters evading giant sandworms. Additionally, Millepied made his directorial debut with the 2022 musical drama “Carmen,” starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal.

Despite personal changes, both Portman and Millepied remain dedicated to their creative pursuits, evident in their continued involvement in various projects.
