Poonam Pandey, a model and reality TV star, died of cervical cancer, her manager announced Monday. According to her team, the 32-year-old, who was last seen on the reality show ‘Lock Upp’, “bravely fought the disease”.
“Poonam Pandey, the beloved actress and social media personality, has tragically passed away this morning due to Cervical Cancer, leaving the entertainment industry in shock and mourning,” Nikita Sharma, her publicist, told NDTV.
“Her unwavering spirit amidst her health struggles was truly remarkable,” Ms Sharma said, adding that there was a “critical need for increased awareness and proactive measures against preventable diseases like Cervical Cancer”
She claimed that the 32-year-old fought hard against the sickness. The model’s management also stated on her official Instagram profile.

Poonam Pandey has over a billion Instagram followers. Her fame soared during the 2011 Cricket World Cup when she pledged to strip if India won the final. She gained a large number of social media fans over the years as a result of her outspoken views and frequent appearances in daring videos.
In 2022, she gained popularity after appearing on Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Lock Upp. She also acted in a few films.
